Five state-based rural press clubs are represented by the ACAJ:

These clubs bring together rural, regional and metropolitan media, and individual and corporate members, including:
- Journalists, editors, photographers and managers of metropolitan and regional-based media organisations;
- Key decision makers and managers of leading agribusiness companies and institutions;
- State and Federal politicians, ministerial press secretaries and researchers;
- Senior executive and communication officers from rural industry organisations;
- Researchers and technical advisers from the government sector;
- Professional consultants and management from the private sector, including agronomists, farm management consultants, advertising agencies, public relations consultants;
- Representatives of leading national financial institutions; and
- Farmers and rural entrepreneurs
