ACAJ executive team for 2008-09

5 September 2008

The Australian Council of Agricultural Journalists has made changes to it’s leadership team at the 2008 annual meeting.
Liz Harfull becomes Vice-President, taking over from fellow South Australian member Ian Doyle. Liz will continue her role as the ACAJ’s international delegate.

Jane Milburn from Brisbane was elected Secretary to succeed Bev Jordan from Sydney.

President Gordon Collie was re-elected for a third term and Bob Snewin from Adelaide continues as Treasurer.
Jane has just completed a three-year term as President of the Queensland Rural Press Club and was responsible for cementing it’s position as the leading independent agribusiness forum in the State.

Gordon Collie thanked both Bev Jordan and Ian Doyle for their commitment to the ACAJ. Bev has been a staunch supporter during her term as President of NSW Farm Writers and Broadcasters. Ian continues to lead Rural Media South Australia.

The ACAJ annual meeting also accepted the retirement of immediate past president Colin Munro. His contribution to the profession of rural journalism during a long and high profile career with ABC Radio has been outstanding.
